The Pollutant Standard Reading (PSI) for all four districts was 'good' yesterday.
At 6pm yesterday afternoon, the air quality in Brunei-Muara, Belait, Tutong and Temburong were categorised as 'good' with PSI readings of 24, 19, 23 and 9 respectively, according to the Department of Environment, Parks and Recreation.
The public has been urged to refrain from conducting any open burning activities even though the country is nearly free from haze.
The department will continue to closely monitor the air quality and conduct ground surveillance on backyard and open burning activities.
The public can contact the department for any complaints on open burning through hotlines 8999900 / 8837751 / 8837741 and query on the air quality by contacting 2383222 extension 514 during the normal office hours.
The public can also access and obtain the PSI readings on-line at www.env.gov.bn.
