10 August 2026 – Brunei Darussalam participated in the Thirty-Seventh Meeting of the ASEAN Senior Officials on Environment and Related Meetings (37th ASOEN), held virtually from 10 until 13 August 2026 under the chairmanship of the Philippines.
The Meeting was attended by senior officials across ASEAN Member States, and the ASEAN Secretariat. Brunei Darussalam’s delegation was led by Yang Mulia Dayang Hajah Martinah binti Haji Tamit, Director of Environment, Parks and Recreation and comprised of officials from the Department of Environment, Parks, and Recreation, Ministry of Development and Brunei Climate Change Office, Prime Minister’s Office.
During the session, Brunei Darussalam reaffirmed its commitment to driving regional progress and strengthening cooperation toward environmental sustainability.
