Trees & Landscaping
Can the Department prune or cut down trees in my backyard?
No. The Department only prunes or cuts ornamental trees within government premises and their vicinity, or along main roads where they affect public safety (assessed case by case).
However, the Department can give technical advice if a tree is close to your house or poses a risk if left unpruned. To get the work done, engage a registered KPB12 contractor from the Department’s list of service providers.
Parks & Bookings
Do I need to book to camp or hold a family activity at a park?
Yes. Call the Department at 224 1262 during office hours at least one (1) week before your planned activity to check availability and make a booking.
For facilities available at each park, see our Public Parks Directory.
