6 August 2026 – The Department of Environment, Parks and Recreation (JASTRe) participated in the Brunei Darussalam Maritime Week (BDMW 2026), hosted by the Maritime and Port Authority of Brunei Darussalam at Dermaga Diraja, Bandar Seri Begawan on Thursday, 6 August 2026.
Held in commemoration of World Maritime Day 2026 under the theme “Powering Maritime Excellence: Safe Seas, Thriving Economy, Future-Ready People”, the event brought together local and international industry experts to address key developments across the maritime domain.
As part of the exhibition, JASTRe highlighted national environmental governance, legislative frameworks under the Environmental Protection and Management Act (Chapter 240), and ongoing national commitments to the Kigali Amendment.
