Asean environment ministers meeting in
Kuala Lumpur on Wednesday to discuss ways to combat the haze problem
haverecommended the adoption of a joint haze monitoring system (HMS).
The system, which would be used in tandem with official lause and concession maps of fire proneareas,
will help pinpoint who or which companiesown the plots of land which
are on fire.
