One of the most popular beaches in Brunei Darussalam was upgraded in 2006 under the RKN 9 Development Project. The development introduced a 7m wide grand entrance towards a new information center, 4m wide walkway/ cycling track stretching the length of 1.2km across the east and west side of the park, 26 shelters with barbeque pits, playground, Surau, toilets, reflexology path, camping site, external water tap and shower, beach football and volleyball field.
The 11 hectare long recreational park/beach is a popular weekend retreat, quiet esplanade that invites leisure strolls and is an ideal destination for a family outing and event hosting such as the annual "Pesta Santai" in conjunction with his Majesty's birthday celebration, the ANZAC commemoration in April, school camping activities, private functions and beach cleaning activities by schools, public and NGOs.
